DL AM02 : Engine Starting

This Training Software dedicated to the engine starting systems is structured as follows:

CAPIT01.GIF (1491 byte) Ignition technique in Otto cycle engines
Lesson 1 Ignition in Otto cycle engine  S0201E
Lesson 2 Conventional ignition S0202E
CAPIT02.GIF (1496 byte) Electronics applied to the ignition systems
  LEZI01.GIF (1125 byte) Transistor based ignition S0203E
LEZI02.GIF (1120 byte) Electronic ignition S0204E

The Simulation Panel AM02 has been specially designed and realized to allow for a complete and easy learning of the techniques and of the electronic devices used for a correct ignition in Otto cycle engines.
In fact, with the Simulation Panel AM02 it is possible to simulate the following systems:
  • Conventional ignition controlled through contacts
  • Transistor based ignition controlled through contacts
  • Transistor based ignition controlled through Hall transducer, with fixed closing angle
  • Operating principle of the inductive sensor (used for the per transistor based ignition)
  • Electronic ignition with transducer of the number of revolutions on the engine shaft

It can be used by the Teacher for the explanation to the students.
Its dimensions and the completeness of the synoptical panel make it an efficient tool for teaching.

It can be used by students for individual or group studying.
The software and the documentation guide the student to the study and the performance of the simulation exercises.
Furthermore, the Teacher can insert faults in the system and ask the student to perform "Fault Finding" exercises, particularly important for the training of maintenance technicians.
