Direct test of the three-phase asynchronous motor with electromagnetic (Pasqualini) brake

Connection diagram:

The test points out the machine behaviour in the effective working conditions and a mechanic load is therefore necessary to be applied to the motor under test.
The mechanic load is made up, in the specific case, of the electromagnetic (Pasqualini) brake allowing a gradual regulation of the braking effect, through the direct current regulation flowing in its electromagnets.
The reference quantity is the couple and therefore the mechancal power at the shaft, that generally is varied from 0 to 1.25 times the rated power.
