Direct test of the Direct Current Motor with Electromagnetic Brake (Pasqualini)

Connection diagram:

The test points out the behaviour of the machine in the effective work conditions and a mechanical load is therefore necessary to be applied to the shaft of the motor under test.
The mechanical load is composed, in the specific case, by the electro-magnetic brake (Pasqualini) that allows a gradual adjustment of the braking effect, through the adjustment of the direct current flowing in its electromagnets.

The reference quantity is the torque and therefore the mechanical power at shaft, that generally is made vary from 0 to 1.25 times the rated power.
